Reading with lyricist Dieter M. Gräf in Sarajevo

Dieter M. Gräf
On 24th October 2011 the Goethe-Institut Bosnia and Herzegovina, TRADUKI and the Sarajevo Open Centre invited guests to a reading with the lyricist Dieter M. Gräf, who was a guest for a month in Sarajevo as part of the European Residence Programme for writers and literary translators. The moderator Stevan Tontić, himself a lyricist and translator, presented to the audience the volume of poetry Buch Vier [Book Four], which was published in 2009 in Zagreb in Croatian translation. Dieter M. Gräf, born in 1960, is a well-regarded German writer, who has received many awards. His works have been translated into several languages.

TRADUKI at the Vienna book fair “Buch Wien”

In co-operation with KulturKontakt Austria a series of lectures took place during Buch Wien 2011, at which new publications sponsored by TRADUKI were presented. 

On 8th November, at the Evening of Poetry, Dragana Mladenović (Serbia) and Faruk Šehić (Bosnia and Herzegovina) read from the new bilingual volumes of the tradukita poezio series of the publishing house Edition Korrespondenzen. The actor Till Firit read the German translations by Jelena Dabić and Hana Stojić.

Remember crime ‒ Book presentation in Belgrade, Sarajevo and Zagreb

In co-operation with TRADUKI the Goethe-Institut presented the Serbian translation of the anthology Verbrechen erinnern. Die Auseinandersetzung mit Holocaust und Völkermord] [Remember crime. The debate about the Holocaust and Genocide] which was released at the Belgrade Book Fair in October 2011, published by Platoneum in Novi Sad. The anthology, edited by Volkhard Knigge and Norbert Frei, covers the memory of crime and violence in history as well as the current debate about a European memory of culture.

Blaže Minevski: Book presentation at the Belgrade Book Fair

On 28th October the Serbian translation, sponsored by TRADUKI, of the novel Нишан by Blaže Minevski was presented at the International Book Fair in Belgrade. In addition to the author, the essayist and literary critic Dušan Stojković, and the Macedonian lyricist, literary critic and essayist Sande Stojčevski, as well as the translator, Risto Vasilevski, spoke about the book. Numerous visitors to the fair, including many well-known Serbian and foreign writers, took part in the event.
