Literature and Rock’n’Roll: Mobile Writers' Colony in Čelobrdo, Montenegro

582 celo brdo“Lifelong Freedom” – this expression, inspired from the freedom discourse of Serbian surrealists from the beginning of the 20th century was the topic of the 4th Mobile Writers’ Colony taking place in Čelobrdo, Kotor, and Budva in Montenegro from 25 September to 10 October. The project was organized by ZMUC from Belgrade and Za Druga from Petrovac and was supported by TRADUKI.

The Culture of the Adriatic: Reading with Uwe Rada and Ilir Ferra in Sarajevo

587 adriaGoethe-Institut in Sarajevo hosted on October 7 a literary evening with the German writer Uwe Rada and with Ilir Ferra, an Albanian born Austrian writer. After the introduction by Ivana Nevesinjac, both writers read some excerpts from their work that had to do with the topic of the evening “Culture of the Adratic”. Once, the Iron Curtain went straight through the Adriatic Sea. But now, the people of East Adriatic have again turned towards the sea. Both writers write in their books about this new discovery of the sea and its connecting power. The event was supported by TRADUKI.

Reading Autumn for Children and Young Reders in Sarajevo

586 leseherbstBetween September 23–30, the Goethe-Institut Bosnia and Herzegovina organized, with support of TRADUKI and in cooperation with many partners from Sarajevo, the second reading festival for children and youths from age 4 to 17. The diverse program consisted of readings, workshops, film projections, theatre performances, and exhibitions. This allowed kids and youths to fully delve into the world of books and stories.
