Jugoslavija revisited

From 5 to 7 November 2010 the "Literatur im Herbst (Literature in autumn): Yugoslavia revisited" festival,  which has many authors from the former Yugoslavia as guests, takes place in Vienna. The main curators of the programme are Walter Famler and Alida Bremer, who will also present the most recent issue of the magazine Wespennest to the visitors. In this issue sponsored by TRADUKI, with the same title of "Yugoslavia revisited", authors discuss the topic, two decades after the fall of Yugoslavia, of what Yugoslavia was and what survives as Yugoslavian.

Invitation to the international translator meeting in Berlin and Leipzig

The Robert Bosch foundation and the literary colloquium Berlin have hosted international workshops or large meetings for translators of German literature since 2004. The joint cooperation of the Goethe Institut, the S. Fischer Foundation and Traduki has made it possible to organise a meeting for up to 40 participants from all over the world in 2011

Presentation of the complete short prose works of Franz Kafka in Albanian

The presentation of the complete short prose works of Franz Kafka in Albanian will be held on October 26, 2010 at Teatri i Metropolit in Tirana.
The translator and author Ardian Klosi has dedicated himself to this work for many years. Now the time has come at last:  this edition , which includes all stories, sketches and novellas of the Prague author in Albanian, arranged chronologically by their date of writing, whether printed during his lifetime or published posthumously, was made possible due to the support of TRADUKI.

InterLese 2010 ‒ Launch of the poetry anthology "Land, Which Does Not Exist"

The poet Hadžem Hajdarević from Bosnia-Herzegovina was on a reading tour to Berlin, Magdeburg and Halle/Saale from October 5 to 7, 2010 as the guest of  "InterLese“, a literary meeting, at the invitation of the Friedrich-Bödecker-Kreis in Saxony-Anhalt e.V. He introduced his bilingual poetry anthology Land, das es nicht gibt [Land, Which Does Not Exist] which was promoted by TRADUKI.

"Tribina Traduki" ̶ "To Write or Not to Write, That is the Question. "

Another "Tribina Traduki“ literary evening, entitled "To Write or Not to Write, That is the Question" was held on October 6, 2010 in Split. Guests included Lamija Begagić from Sarajevo, current grant holder of the "Marko Marulić" residence programme, the Split author and journalist Eda Vujević, and Predrag Lucić, journalist and co-founder of the legendary satiric weekly newspaper Feral Tribune. The guests spoke about their literary work and addressed questions on regional collaboration, under the moderation of Jasen Boko.
