Translations from, to and within South Eastern Europe

TRADUKI at the International Book Fair in Sofia

Traduki Stand
The 29th International Book Fair took place from 7 – 12 December 2010 in the Bulgarian capital, Sofia and this time the TRADUKI network also took part.
At the invitation of the organisers, Edi Matić (Croatia) and Andrej Lovšin (Slovenia) travelled to Sofia.

"Tribina Traduki" – Are writers always part of a minority?

Are writers free to conform to the dominant topic of debate? Does the creative "minority" have to follow the taste of the "consumer majority"? Why is the novel the dominant literary form, and do you have to be a writer to publish a novel? On 2nd December 2010 moderator Jasen Boko discussed this and other questions with his guests Miodrag Kojadinović, Aleksandra Kardum and Zlatko Lukić.

TRADUKI auf der Buch Wien 10

In November the international book fair Buch Wien 10, and the accompanying reading festival week, took place in Vienna. True to Vienna’s function of acting as a bridge particular attention was given to literature from South Eastern and Central Europe. As in the previous year the TRADUKI partner KulturKontakt Austria added to the programme with a range of events.
