The TRADUKI funded translation of the Macedonian cult novel Пиреј [Pirey/Couch Grass] by Petre M. Andreevski was published in German under the title Quecke by Guggolz-Verlag in August 2017. The novel celebrated its formal book launch on 29th September 2017, at a public event in collaboration with Buchhandlung Godolt.
The TRADUKI-supported Writers-in-Residence Programs in Belgrade, Novo Mesto, Prishtina, Sarajevo, Skopje, Split, and Tirana have developed a joint program called “Reading Balkans”, for which they received the support of the Creative Europe Program of the European Union. They invite interested writers (prose, poetry, drama, and essays) from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, and Slovenia to apply for four-week stays in one of the seven cities. Available are 21 fellowships in the period from March 1 and July 31, 2018. Deadline for applications is October 25, 2017.
At this year's Poligon Literature Festival the organisers – in cooperation with TRADUKI, Alliance Culture Foundation, and the City of Mostar – presented for the third year running a diverse programme. The festival kicked off in Split on 20th September with a pre-festival event and ran till 25th September in Mostar.
