Benjamin, Walter.

247 benjamin traeumeA reader that presents Walter Benjamin as a big dreamer as well as an important theorist of dreams. This highlights a part of his work that has not found much recognition until now but has a central importance for his writing and thinking. The first part contains transcripts of Benjamin’s dreams, while the second part presents his reflections on the theory of dreams that span from short aphorisms to longer contributions to the literature on dreams and to the political conception of the “Dream Collective” and their awakening.

Träume (Dreams) by Walter Benjamin has been translated to Romanian (excerpt) by Andrei Anastasescu under the title Vise, published by Editura ART, Bucharest.
