Suter, Martin


Martin Suter, born in Zürich in 1948, is a writer, columnist (he wrote the weekly column “Business Class” for the Swiss magazine “Weltwoche” and then the “Magazine” of the “Tages-Anzeiger” newspaper and wrote the stories about Geri Weibel in the “Neue Züriche Zeitung-Folio”, both of which appeared in book form with Diogenes Verlag ) and script writer. Up to 1991 he also earned his living as an ad writer and Creative Director, until he moved over to devote himself full time to writing his books. His novels – the most recent is “The last Weynfeldt” – are also major international successes. Suter lives with his wife and both children in Spain and Guatemala.
