Viktor Šikov was born in 1973 in Skopje, Macedonia. He studied journalism and worked for several newspapers. He concluded a postgraduate study of media communication. He translates poetry and prose. His published translations include works of Dragana Mladenović, David Albahari, Christopher Isherwood, Jehuda Amichai, Vladimir Devidé, Ueda Akinari, Natsume Sōseki, Bashō, Isa, Buson and Shiki.
