Writer-in-Residence-Programme of the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the MuseumsQuartier Wien: Call for applications for 2019

641 bmeiaThe Austrian Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs (BMEIA) will continue its residency programme for authors from South-East Europe into the year 2019. With the current call for applications the programme is now also open to participants from Central and Eastern European countries. The programme begins on 1st January 2019 and is available for residencies of two months.

The chosen author will be staying in an apartment at the MuseumsQuartier in Vienna. In addition, the author will receive a stipend of 1.050 € per month. Upon his/her arrival the author is obliged to pay a deposit of 500 € to Quartier21, which will be repaid at the time of his/her departure.

Eligible for the programme are all interested authors from the following countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, and Slovenia. Candidates must also provide proof of published works in their mother tongue and must not have participated in a writers residency programme in Vienna in the past three years.
