The Literature and Translation House, managed by the Next Page Foundation, welcomed the German author and translator Thomas Frahm as a December guest of the TRADUKI-supported writers in residence program in Sofia. During his stay, he worked on the German translation of the second volume on the history of Bulgarian literature, written by Milena Kirova. He also used his stay to make new contacts with writers and translators.
In the event in the Literature and Translation House on December 5th, Thomas Frahm spoke with writer Kristin Dimitrova about the images of Bulgaria in German Literature. On December 11th, he was a part of a panel discussion with Georgi Gospodinov, Petya Lund and Mirela Ivanova. The host Yana Genova talked with the guests on specialties of literary translation from Bulgarian to German.
