Panel discussion at the Solothurn Literature Festival


Even the biggest readers start out small...
As part of the Solothurner Literaturtage a panel discussion took place on 15th May, sponsored by  "Wenn der Südosten nach Nordwesten", where five translators from south-eastern Europe talked about the welcome given to German-language literature in their countries. The occasion was organised by the Schweizer Kulturstiftung (Swiss Culture Foundation) Pro Helvetia. The panellists were : Dragoslav Dedović (author and translator, Berlin), Fedia Filkova (poet and translator, Sofia), Drinka Gojković (translator, Belgrade), Sanja Lovrenčić (author and translator, Zagreb) and Amalija Maček (translator, Ljubljana). Andreas Breitenstein from the Neue Zürcher Zeitung newspaper took the chair.
