Преместен камен

Madžirov, Nikola.

madzirov_kamenThe volume of poetry Преместен камен (Premesten kamen, 2007) was conceived during a residence stay in Vienna. Nikola Madžirov wrote all the poems published in it while away from Macedonia. He created a home for himself in the in-between: "When you see an empty plastic bag flying in the wind, then this bag is in the in-between. It moves, and a bird also moves, in order to be in-between. Such movements are the poetical foundation of my new book".  Преместен камен was awarded the Hubert Burda Prize for East European Lyrics and the Macedonian Poetry Prize, Braka Miladinovci.

A poetry book Преместен камен [Dislocated stone] by Nikola Madžirov has been translated into Croatian (excerpt) by Borislav Pavlovski with a title Premješten kamen and published by the Fraktura publishing house from Zagreb, into German (excerpt) by Alexander Sitzmann and published by Hanser, Munich, with a title Versetzter Stein, into Bulgarian (Lexcerpt) by Roman Kissiov and published by Stigmati, Sofia, with a title Преместен камък, and into Albanian (excerpt) by Milena Selimi and published by the Poeteka publishing house from Tirana with the title Gur i zhvendosur.
