Berlin
Through poems and lyrical minature essays, Aleš Šteger records what he saw and heard in Berlin over the course of a year. The haunted house for authors at Wannsee, who all thought of commiting suicide there at some point, a metro station in Wedding, haunted by the cry of the Germanic people of old, the temple halls of a bookstore on Carmer Street.. Laden with meaning, abundant with memories, filled with the voices of those who were there before him, they challenge his poetic cognition.
Berlin (title of the German translation: Preußenpark: Berliner Skizzen) appeared in Croatian (reading excerpt), translated by Edo Fičor under the title Berlin through Meandar publishing company, Zagreb.
