An die verlorenen Hälften

Pogačar, Marko .

pogacar_haelftenAll existence is subject to an element of coincidence. At the point of the intersection of space and time, of what is social and what is personal, only one oppertunity is ever actually realised – but then, it could also be different. Marko Pogačar‘s poems surround one with this neverending network of new possible connections through folly, alternative logic, and unexpected turnoffs.

The bilingual poetry anthology An die verlorenen Hälften [To the Lost Halves], a selection from Predmeti [Objects] and Poslanice običnim ljudima [Epistles to Common People], was published by Edition Korrespondenzen, Vienna, and opens the lyric series tradukita poezio published through the support of TRADUKI. All German translations (excerpt) are by Alida Bremer.

Beginning of the lyric series tradukita poezio

28_tradukitaIn 2010, in cooperation with the publishing house Edition Korrespondenzen, TRADUKI initiated the poetry series tradukita poezio in order to present distinguished poets from Southeast Europe in their first translations to German. All books in the series are superbly translated and carefully edited bilingual editions.
