Andrei Anastasescu was born in 1981 in Râmnicu-Vâlcea (Romania). He studied German language and literature studies, Dutch studies and literary translation in Bucharest and worked as a reader. He now works as a member of the German Book Information Centre and as a translator of German and Durch literature in Bucharest. From German he has translated
