A book, in which the poet banishes the events of a disturbing year, acted through in his poetry, where there is no division between the real and the surreal, between magic and reality. A warm memory of childhood in Slovenia, his days of marriage with his wife Mrs Metka, the nights with his Mexican lover – everything is subjected to a releasing poetics of omnipresent ecstasy and follows the laws of "Transgression", of exceeding the poetic borders of taste and taboo.

The volume of poetry Balada za Metko Krašovec (title of the English translation: Ballad for Metka Krašovec by Tomaž Šalamun has been translated into Albanian (excerpt) under the title Baladë për Metka Krašovec, published by Poeteka & Ideart, Tirana. In co-operation with the author translated from the English and the Slovenian by Maksim Leka.

Beginning of the lyric series tradukita poezio

28_tradukitaIn 2010, in cooperation with the publishing house Edition Korrespondenzen, TRADUKI initiated the poetry series tradukita poezio in order to present distinguished poets from Southeast Europe in their first translations to German. All books in the series are superbly translated and carefully edited bilingual editions.
