Kot dar

Čučnik, Primož.

cucnik_kotThe lyrical language of this volume of poetry can absorb any form of texts, which the poet lights on – from the message written with a ballpoint pen at the edge of a bank note to SMS messages to verses of John Ashbery and Elizabeth Bishop. The present reveals itself to the poet more and more as an unseizable moment and in order to come close to it, he focuses on long periods of time, represented by voices from old photographs.

The volume of poetry Kot dar [Like a Present] has been translated by Primož Čučnik into Croatian (excerpt) by Ksenija Premur under the title Kao dar, published by Lara publishing house, Zagreb.
