Нишан

minevski_nisanThe novel illuminates the absurdities and paradoxes of a life torn from normality,  which is looked at through visors directed at one another. Through these visors not only do snipers look at one another, a man and a woman, but also the fates of whole nations. They both know each other from childhood, but in the course of time have distanced themselves from one another. Whilst they now look at one another through the visor, the distance between them is interwoven with a type of love. The conversation, which they carry out through lipreading, is a retrospective of their fates, but also of the fate of those, whom they have lead behind and in front of the visors and not least of those who have been killed by them.

The novel Нишан [Visor] by Blaže Minevski has been translated into Serbian (excerpt) by Risto Vasilevski under the title Нишан published by Arka, Smederevo.
