The Institute for Human Sciances (IWM) invites translators to apply for Paul Celan Fellowships for the period 2018-19.The program is aimed to support translation of canonical texts and contemporary key works in the humanities, social sciences and cultural studies from Eastern to Western, Western to Eastern, or between two Eastern European languages. Deadline for applications is March 18, 2018.
“Journey to the Centre of the Book” was the motto of the 5th Belgrade Festival of Children’s Literature KROKODOKODIL. The festival was once again a multimedia presentation of the world of books to children and young readers. In cooperation with actors of the Youth Theatre Dadov, the associations KROKODIL and OK performed a staged play on November 17, made after several children’s books.
The last guest of the Writers in Residence program Absolute Modern in 2017 was the Kosovar writer Elife Krasniqi. The TRADUKI-supported program allowed her to live and work for four weeks in Skopje. During her stay, she worked on her latest poetry book and on her doctoral thesis.
