The Literary Residence in Cetinje – Writers in the Historical Capitol will widen the offer of TRADUKI sponsored writers in residence programs even more. Autors and translators from Southeast Europe have now the opportunity to apply for a residential fellowship in Montenegro. In cooperation with TRADUKI, the publishing house Otvoreni kulturni forum (OKF) offers three fellowships in September, October and November. Deadline for applications is August 10 2017.
Each year, the Swiss Cultural Foundation Pro Helvetia makes available a fund of 200.000 CHF to actors in literary and book fields, in order to promote Swiss literature abroad. A special focus is made on art books, photography, design, and children and youth books. Eligible to apply are publishers, event organizers, associations, and book and literary actors from Switzerland and abroad. Deadlines for applications are each year on March 1 and September 1. Applications can be made exclusively via the portal www.myprohelvetia.ch.
Between October 23 and 28, 2017, the European Translators' Collegium (EÜK) in Straelen will be the venue of a translators‘ workshop for language combination German–Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian. The workshop is supported by the ViceVersa program of the German Translators’ Funds, the Robert Bosch Foundation, the Kunststiftung NRW and the German Foreign Ministry. The workshop’s mentors are Helen Sinković and Dr. Brigitte Döbert. Under their guidance, twelve participants will work on the projects they submitted, discuss translation relevant topics, and exchange experience. Deadline for applications is August 23, 2017.
