In cooperation with the Slovene Writers' Association the Central European Initiative (CEI) offers a writers in residence fellowship for 2017. A three-month residence can be spent in any of the countries of CEI, according to the choice of the writer winning the fellowship. The writer also gets an invitation to participate at the International Literary Festival Vilenica in September 2017.
The Institute for Human Sciences (IWM) invites translators to apply for Paul Celan Fellowships for the period of 2017-18. The fellowships are aimed to support translation of canonical texts and contemporary key works in the humanities, social sciences and cultural studies from Eastern to Western, Western to Eastern, or between two Eastern European languages. Deadline for applications for a three- to six-month fellowship in Vienna is February 6, 2017.
Qendra Multimedia in cooperation with TRADUKI and Goethe-Institut offers six four-week fellowships in Pristina within the program Pristina has no river. Eligible to apply are writers and translators from Southeast Europe (Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia, Romania, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, and Macedonia) and from Germany. Deadline for applications is January 20, 2017.
