In cooperation with the PEN Centre of Bosnia and Herzegovina, TRADUKI will in 2013continue with the European Residence Programme for writers and literary translators. Grant holders will have the opportunity to live in Sarajevo for one month, where they will be able to work on their manuscripts and present their works to Bosnian-Herzegovinian audience. Eligible to apply are writers and literary translators from Albania, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Romania and Serbia.
Like in the years before, the city of Graz will award a literary grant „Writer of the City of Graz“ in 2013/14. The intention is to promote writers who show innovative ability and examination of current subject matters, quality in aesthetic and linguistic terms, authenticity and artistic independence. The invited writer can completely devote themself to their literary work without any financial pressure and can explore the atmosphere and cultural scene of the city. Deadline for submission: 31st March 2013.
The Serbian Ministry of Culture and Media invites international publishers to apply to the project of translation of representative literary works written in Serbian or minority languages, in order to get financial support for translation of these works abroad. Special consideration will be given to the translations of works by the following authors, bearing in the mind the anniversaries: Petar II Petrović Njegoš (200th anniversary of his birth), Miloš Crnjanski (120th anniversary of his birth) and Jovan Dučić (70th anniversary of his death), but also to other authors that have been shortlisted or have won one of the relevant Serbian literary awards. Financial supports covers up exclusively 50 % of the translation costs. The deadline for applications is the 29th March 2013.
